HA-Rental was founded in 2008 by Hans Alders, who, with proper training in audio technology at the media academy in the Netherlands and his broad range of experience in the AV world created a strong foundation for the new company. He first started working in the sound and lighting industry in 1988 at local broadcasters and several companies as an extra job.
While working for these employers Hans Alders was part of various projects, putting the knowledge he gained at the media academy to good use, where he studied under renowned teacher Cees Wagenaar to learn the art of sound design. As part of his studies at the academy he took an internship at Dutch radio broadcaster Radio 1, and later another internship at NOS, a Dutch television broadcasting company, where he worked on "Langs de Lijn", and lastly at the AES professional exchange. 
It wasn't until 1990 that he started working with lighting, where he gained his first experience repurposing a church into a club for a single night in Leiden. Following up on the experience, he combined self study and courses at MA Lighting in Germany to master lighting. Afterwards he worked on several television productions such as the state lottery, "Het Gevoel Van" and "EO Zingt" to put his newly gained skills to use.

In short, Hans Alders has worked as a sound technician, FOH mixer, stage technician, stage manager, lighting technician and lighting designer for, amongst others, NOB Audio (Dutchview), NOB Licht (Dutchview), Ampco Pro Rent, METAM, Frank Stge, Amsterdam Rai Groep/ACS and JVR.

HA-Rental is a full-fledged company with a group of young people who are displined and eager to learn. Safety, customer ettiquette, expertise and a friendly experience are things we hold in high regard. Every project we take on gets the full attention it deserves and we do not consider a project finished until the employer is satisfied. On a project basis we employ the needed freelance specialists to assist us, and for larger projects we commonly work together with fellow companies in the industry. HA-Rental is fully endorsed in rental and sale of various brands, most notably Kling & Freitag, Philips Selecon and MA Lighting, in conformity with market prices.
